Frequently Asked Questions

When you first open MacroMenu, you'll go through a personalized onboarding process. We'll ask about your age, height, weight, activity level, and fitness goals. Based on this information, we calculate your optimal daily macros (calories, protein, carbs, and fats). You can update these anytime in Profile → Edit Profile.
We source our nutritional data from official restaurant sources, verified databases, and AI-powered analysis. However, actual values may vary based on preparation methods, portion sizes, and regional variations. For the most accurate information, we recommend confirming with the restaurant directly for critical dietary needs.
Use our AI-powered Menu Scan feature! Simply take a photo of the menu, and our AI will analyze the items and estimate their nutritional content. Go to the Camera tab and select "Scan Menu" to try it. This works great for local restaurants and dishes not in our database.
Yes! You can use our Menu Scan feature to add meals from any restaurant. Simply take a photo of your meal or menu, and our AI will estimate the macros. You can also use the AI Chat to ask about specific dishes and get nutritional estimates.
Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store. On iOS, go to Settings → Your Name → Subscriptions → MacroMenu → Cancel. On Android, go to Google Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → MacroMenu → Cancel. If you need help, contact us at support@macromenu.app.
You can delete your account from within the app by going to Profile → Edit Profile → Delete Account. This will permanently remove all your data from our servers within 30 days. Alternatively, you can email privacy@macromenu.app with your request.
MacroMenu needs location access to find nearby restaurants. Make sure you've granted location permissions: On iOS, go to Settings → Privacy → Location Services → MacroMenu and select "While Using the App". On Android, go to Settings → Apps → MacroMenu → Permissions → Location. If issues persist, try restarting the app.
Yes! MacroMenu is available on both iOS and Android. You can download it from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Both versions have the same features and sync your data across devices when you're signed in.
